Luis is the founder and executive director of The Open Sun Foundation.
Originally from Honduras, he moved to the United States to study business and later built a career in investment finance. He now lives with his family in Austin, Texas.

Throughout his life, Luis has been driven by a deep curiosity about human potential and a sincere desire to help others. From a young age, he was shaped by a strong spiritual foundation and a direct, personal connection with the divine. Over the years he explored this connection through many paths — including meditation, philosophy, contemplative study, and inner development.

What began as a stress-management practice in 2016 eventually opened the door to a profound personal transformation. Luis immersed himself in a wide range of teachings on universal philosophy, mysticism, and the nature of consciousness. This exploration helped him reconnect with a deeper sense of self and cultivate a grounded intuitive sensitivity.

Today, Luis blends these studies with his meditation practice to support others on their own journeys of clarity, healing, and inner growth. His approach draws from several traditions and frameworks but remains universal, non-dogmatic, and centered on helping individuals reconnect with their own wisdom.

As Luis continued this work privately, several close friends and early clients experienced meaningful transformation through their sessions with him. They encouraged him to share this work more broadly and to make his guidance accessible to more people. These conversations, combined with Luis’ own inner calling, became the seed that grew into The Open Sun Foundation.

Luis is now supported by a small group of experienced and wise individuals who believe in the mission and help sponsor and guide the foundation’s development. Together, they are shaping a long-term vision that includes:

• One-to-one spiritual guidance and support

• Accessible educational content, including books, digital programs, and guided practices

• Group retreats and community events focused on personal and spiritual development

• A growing network of teachers and practitioners who will offer complementary modalities

• Specialized programs and structured paths to support deeper development over time

• And eventually, a dedicated space or center for teaching, community, and transformation

After many years in the business world, Luis felt called to dedicate himself fully to service. Through The Open Sun Foundation, he now offers guidance, sessions, and educational resources to support spiritual development and personal well-being. He is also developing books and digital programs to make this work accessible to a wider audience. More offerings will continue to unfold as the foundation evolves.
